Marty married Dan Allanson on February 22, 1975, on The Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. They were the second couple to do so. Their reception was held on board the ship and it was outstanding. After celebrating their marriage, they went to the South Pacific for 6 weeks. All expenses were paid by the Xerox Corporation where Dan worked. Marty and Dan loved to travel together and be together all of the time.

Marty and Dan spent twenty-eight years in Santa Maria, California before retiring in 2003 and moving to Cedar City, Utah. There they had a custom home built which they both loved very much.

Marty loved knitting, tole painting, and Brazilian embroidery. Her favorite craft was making Afghans for family members. She will be greatly missed by friends, family– and especially Dan!

Dan would like to thank all staff members at Three Peaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Cedar City for their outstanding response in taking care of Marty. Also, thank you to all hospice representatives.
