Austin Byron LeFevre passed away on June 9, 2024 at his home in Parowan UT. 

He was born in Spry, UT on July 14, 1939 to Leah Elzina Beckstead LeFevre and Otho Orton LeFevre. 

He married his sweetheart Karen Lynne Jacobsen on Feb. 11, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. 

Austin is the father of four children Mark Byron LeFevre (deceased), Mary Lynne LeFevre, Matthew Austin (Suzanne) LeFevre and baby Amanda Leah LeFevre (deceased). 

He has 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 

Austin has 2 brothers Sharon ‘Pete’ LeFevre and Gordon LeFevre (both deceased) and 2 sisters Yalonda Hofeling and Renee Hunter. 

Austin was a Technical Engineer for Xerox and SUU for many years upon retiring he and Karen continued to work on their farm raising hay for their horses, cows, sheep, emu’s, ginny hens, shetland sheep, chickens, geese, peacocks. He always had a loyal dog by his side and Karen had her cats. 

Austin was so talented, he could play any musical instrument, piano, organ, guitar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica and he even tried the bagpipes. 

He served in the Army Reserve highlighting his musical talents. 

He loved to fish and hunt with family and friends. 

He later met Lisa Malone Cobb and her mother Edith ‘Edie’ Stewart and formed a wonderful bond, Edie moved out from No. Carolina to be with him. 

So many people knew and loved him, his stories, jokes and talents and he will be greatly missed!
