Willard Robin Bishop, 83, passed away July 6, 2026, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He was born March 8, 1943, in Murray, Utah, to Ralph Bishop and Reva Maurine Whipple Bishop. He grew up in Sandy, Moab, and then Granite, Utah, attended Jordan High School and the University of Utah, and married Pamela Kemp on June 15, 1967.
He served as a Special Forces Captain (Green Beret) in Vietnam from 1969-70. He then became an attorney and practiced law for almost 53 years. He served as Bishop for the Cedar 7th Ward of the LDS Church and served in many callings. His favorite calling was that of Scoutmaster for Troop 347 of the BSA, earning the Silver Beaver Award. He loved the outdoors and looked forward to hunting each year.
He is survived by his spouse Pamela Kemp Bishop of Cedar City, UT, and five children: Robyn Bishop Warner (Michael), Grantsville, UT; Kimberlee Bishop Cunningham (Kelly), Washington, UT; Christina Bishop, Saint George, UT; Andrew Willard Bishop, Cedar City, UT; and Ann Elise Bishop Overson (E.Jay), Cedar City, UT. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, 2.5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Bishop and Reva Maurine Whipple Bishop, and by his brother David Ralph Bishop.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Cedar City Utah West Stake Center (725 South 1100 West, Cedar City, Utah). The viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Cedar City Utah West Stake Center (725 South 1100 West, Cedar City, Utah).
