Donald Sullivan Richardson was born on January 09, 1935, in Mesa, AZ. He enjoyed life until February 24, 2026. When he was 74, he and his wife Diane moved to Southern Utah. When he would communicate with his family in Mesa, he would tell them that this was the choicest place on the planet, and he wished he had been born here.
During his life, he enjoyed several different occupations and for that reason, he never was bored by his employment. He worked for Arizona Public Service, taught school, worked for a mining company, a heavy equipment mechanic and retired as a plumber. He liked anything with wheels and gears and restored old hit and miss gasoline engines. He liked to make things and fix things and said (tongue in cheek) that if a man made it a man could fix it.
Except for Mexico and Canada, he never left the United States. After having travelled in the 48 states and having lived in Arizona his whole life, he finally saw the Grand Canyon. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed anything that was funny. He always said he was looking forward to a visit with his daddy and mother, brothers and sisters who passed on.
He is survived by his wife Diane and his children Arlin, Bryan, Cheryl, Daena, Eric, Julie, Crystal, Andrew and stepchildren Stacy, Trevor, Tiffany, and Shelly. Also, many grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Barbara Richardson and eleven siblings, and daughter Tara.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the Paragonah LDS Chapel 79 N Main St., Paragonah, UT 84760. With a viewing one hour prior to the service.
