MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR:
Wishing you and yours a joyful and prosperous New Year as we welcome the start of another beautiful winter season in Brian Head. I first came to Brian Head in 1979. I was chasing a girl fell
in love with her first and then Brian Head Town. I still have her today and here we reside. The Town has changed over the years, but the winters always provide us with that wild feeling when you step outside in the mornings, and the crisp air is exhilarating. The snow seems to muffle all the other sounds around you with only the sound of your boots crunching on the snow interrupting the dead silence after a snowstorm, reminding you that you are alone with nature.
Brian Head is at a unique crossroads with the new ownership with the Brian Head Resort and the upcoming new ski community of Aspen Meadows. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful place, a developer with vision for its newly adopted mountain home, and a resort owner all focused and working in the same direction. These efforts will bring many exciting things to the future of Brian Head. The vision of Aspen Meadows, Brian Head Resort, and Brian Head Town, is in complete alignment with our town goals: Keep the authentic aspects of the town untouched while preparing for its future.
We continue to make improvements to the aesthetics of the Town. We’ve added more Christmas décor/lights at the Pavilion this year and held our first annual Town lighting event. Thanks to all
those involved with that successful event and making the Town beautiful. We’ve also added new streetlights and street signs through the main corridor of Town. More such improvements to beautify the Town are on their way.
As always, I hope to see you out on the trail.
— Mayor Clayton Calloway
