Parowan Valley, Iron County: On July 20, 2024, at 15:19 hrs., Cedar dispatch received a 911 call regarding a fire in a barn at the 200 South and 3700 W block in Parowan Valley.
The fire, which originated in a single-level barn, spread to the surrounding yard and threatened a nearby residential structure, burning approximately two (2) acres of sagebrush. The barn contained several vehicles, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
First responders, including the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, Parowan Fire, Brian Head Fire, Paragonah Fire, Color County Fire, Gold Cross Ambulance, and Rocky Mountain Power, swiftly and cooperatively worked together to contain and extinguish the fire.
