The Iron County Children’s Justice Center (ICCJC) is thrilled to share some exciting news with our community: We are eagerly anticipating the completion and move to our new facility scheduled for the end of June or first part of July. This move marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide a safe, supportive environment for children and families during critical times.
The ICCJC plays a vital role in our community by offering a centralized, compassionate approach to handling allegations of child abuse. Our facility allows highly skilled forensic interviewers to conduct and preserve child interviews through audio and visual recordings facilitating the collaborative multi-disciplinary team approach. This practice reduces the need for multiple interviews by various child protection and criminal justice agencies, minimizing the trauma experienced by the children involved.
The new facility located at 1622 E. 5250 N. in Enoch, Utah, is designed to look and feel like a home, ensuring that children and their families feel secure and comfortable during the investigative process of alleged child physical or sexual abuse and maltreatment. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we will be hosting a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. While the exact date will be announced as we get loser, we are already looking forward to welcoming the community to see our new space and learn about out work.
In conjunction with our upcoming move, we are excited to announce our annual fundraiser, the 5K Fun Run/walk, scheduled for June 22nd at 8 A.M.
This year’s event will be held at our new location, giving participants a first look at our new facility. We invite everyone in the community to join us for a morning of fun, fitness, and support for a worthy cause. You can sign up for the event at raceentry.com. All proceeds from the run will go towards finishing and furnishing our new center, ensuring we have everything needed to continue providing top-notch care and support.
We are immensely grateful for the support of our community and look forward to seeing everyone at the 5K Fun Run/Walk. Your participation and contributions are invaluable as we strive to complete and equip our new facility, further enhancing our ability to serve, protect, and assist the children of Iron County in healing from abuse.
Join us on June 22, and stay tuned for more details about our grand opening. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless children and families. Visit our website ironcounty.net/departmenta/cjc/about-us or call 435-867-4275 Thank you for your continued support!
