Rodger Donald Chambers, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on October 9, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to Frederick Donald and Helen (VanBuren) Chambers.
Rodger was raised in Enterprise, Utah. He spent most of his time going to school, hunting, fishing, and working with his dad. Rodger graduated from Enterprise High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Navy where he spent 3 years on the USS Aeolus ARC Ill as a Radioman. After the Navy, he returned home to Enterprise where he met the love of his life, Marjorie Moyle. They were married and sealed in the St George LDS Temple. Rodger was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He worked for Mountain Bell and eventually started his own business called Southern Utah Business Telephones which he owned until he retired in 2010. He loved his family, and they were all his pride and joy. Rodger was an avid hunter and fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors with his entire family. He was also the founder of The Great American Stampede Rodeo that he was always proud of.
Rodger was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Donald Chambers; Mother, Helen (VanBuren) Chambers; Sisters, Carol Lynne Barlocker; Celia Chambers; and Emma Chambers; Brother, Douglas Steven Chambers. Grandson Brodie Lewis. He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Moyle) Chambers; Sons; Bradley Donald Chambers; and Rod Gordon Chambers; Daughters; Angela Michelle (Collin) Twitchell; Charisse (Warren) Lewis and Steffanie (Clint) Coates. 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
