Paul Lauzen

Paul Evan Lauzen was born to Louis Jr. and Marjorie Lauzen in Glasgow, Montana, October 28, 1937 and peacefully passed on October 08, 2025 at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah. He had lived there for the past 3 ½ years and truly found joy in participating in bingo, art classes and the home’s choir. Paul was very social and made many friends throughout his life.

Paul served his country in the US Naval Reserve and active-duty US Army in both South Korea and Fort Hood, Texas. After military service he worked a myriad of jobs in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada including as a driver for Bell Transportation Services and as the bar manager for both the historic Silver Slipper Casino and Castaways Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Perhaps his most notable job though was as a milkman in Reno where he met and married his second wife Dawn Taylor Holmes.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Dawn (Sturzebecker) Lauzen, his first wife Carla (Stark) Wermuth, his step-son Gary Taylor, and his sister Joyce O’Neel. Paul is survived by his son Michael (Terri) Lauzen, daughters Paula (John) Matta and Jennifer (Michael) Roberts, step-sons George Taylor and Keith (Robyn) Holmes. As a loving Granddaddy/Papa he leaves behind 16 grandchildren, two great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, with another great-granddaughter on the way, two nieces and countless cousins.

A celebration of life is planned for the spring of 2026. Contact the family for details.
