Hazel Cleora Hillstead (Skinner) age 84 Passed away on July 11, 2024 at her home in Cedar City, Utah.  She was born on October 30, 1939 to Cecil and Audrey(Stewart) Skinner in Santa Monica CA.  Hazel passed away peacefully with her loving husband, George T Hillstead of 70 years by her side.

The couple welcomed 7 children into their family, Summer, Spring, Carmeron (Lori), Heather (David), Mark, Brandon (Macayla), and Krishna.  

Hazel was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother of 27 and great-grandmother of 40.  Hazel volunteered for many years at the Shakespearian festivals.  She was an excellent seamstress and for several years made many prom, homecoming, bridesmaid and wedding gowns. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught Relief Society, served as Primary President, Young Womens Stake President, she was a den mother for many years and touched the hearts of many.  She retired after 20 years at the CCSD.  She enjoyed shopping, crafting, traveling and yard selling.  Hazel was loved and respected throughout the community and by her family – She will be greatly missed-   But….never forgotten.
