Carol A. Thorberg, 79, passed gently into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 15, 2024. Carol lived loving Jesus deeply and animals dearly and her passions for music and writing brought her much joy and peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldean and Clifford Thorberg and her brother-in-law and niece, John and Danielle Steen. Carol is survived by her two sisters, Genie Thorberg of Hardin, Montana and Clara (Cissie) Steen of Tumwater, Washington; as well as four nieces and two grandnephews and to grandnieces.
Carol grew up in Hardin, Montana and graduated from high school in 1963. She attended business school in Spokane, Washington. Carol went on to graduate from Pepperdine with a masters in Family and Marriage counseling.
Carol married Michael Findley in 1969. Due to Mike’s employment, they moved along the coast to Fullerton, California. Carol loved the beach and had hoped to return their someday.
Carol moved to Cedar City in 2008 where her sister and brother-in-law had retired. She loved God’s Word and became very involved in Bible studies. Carol was an active member of Community Presbyterian Church and later Sonrise Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal or women’s shelter. Both were near and dear to Carol’s heart and would be a beautiful tribute.
