The Cedar City Fireman’s Relief Association recently received a new roof from Stout Roofing and GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer. Since its founding in 1917, the Cedar City Fireman’s Association has served as a vital community organization, providing services including assistance for injured firefighters, Christmas gifts for underprivileged children, and public education programs focused on fire and life safety.
The Fireman’s Relief Association was far overdue for roof repairs for two aging buildings, which serve as housing for local firefighters, storage for additional firefighting vehicles, and accommodation for local volunteers during emergencies. With the association’s funds focused on essential needs that support the community, GAF-Cedar City and Stout Roofing stepped in to help ensure they have the proper and safe facilities needed to continue serving the community in a major way.
“We’re proud to not only be an employer in Cedar City but also make a positive difference as a neighbor and partner in this community,” said Eric Lewis, General Manager at GAF-Cedar City. “The brave men and women of the Cedar City Fire Department protect this community every day and we are honored to be able to support them with this new roof.”
“At Stout Roofing, we believe in supporting our local first responders and giving back to the community that has supported us,” said Clint Sullivan, Vice President at Stout Roofing. “When we learned about the Cedar City Fireman’s Relief Association’s need for roof repairs, we knew we had to step up. We were excited to partner with GAF to do our part to help local first responders keep our community safe.”
Local contractor, Stout Roofing, installed the new roof with roofing materials being donated by GAF. This collaboration is part of GAF’s social impact initiative, GAF Community Matters, which is focused on making a positive difference as neighbors and partners in the community by leveraging roofing expertise, resources and products to help build resilient communities.
