By Benjamin Hohman, For Iron County Today

Ben Hohman and Marielle Boneau, and their many elves, will once again be doing their holiday light display at 26 North 1150 West in Cedar City, near the SUU football stadium. This will be the 20th year of the display. As part of the display donations are collected for Make-A-Wish ® Utah. The Display has raised over $35,000 for Make-A-Wish® in the 19 years it has been running. They also donate the value of their December power bill to the organization. Donations can be made at the display or online at the light display web page: https://benhprops6.wixsite.com/holidaylights which has a link to the Make-A-Wish® Utah online donation site. They also have Venmo @benslightdisplay

The lights in the front of the home as well as some of the lights in the backyard are choreographed to “dance” with twenty Christmas songs. The front yard display includes Gingerbread land and Mater’s tree farm. It also includes a walk down “Candy Cane Lane,” which leads through the back yard. In the backyard you can see Santa’s Flight School where reindeer are learning to fly, the Christmas Zoo, Winter Disco Land, Santa;s workshop, Ornament Dell and other fun displays. This year’s display includes over 65,000 lights, 55 plastic blow-molds, over 24 lighted animal sculptures, more then 30 inflatables, a home made nine foot wreath, wire-frame animated sculptures, and much more. The display lights up each evening from five thirty to ten p.m. weather permitting starting on December second and running through December 31st.
