The Garth and Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History is dedicated to providing educational experiences for Southern Utah’s residents, teachers, and students in all subjects relating to biology, geology, and anthropology. The Museum will capture your eye the minute you enter the door. They believe K-12 students should have access to hands-on learning about their environment and the natural resources in southern Utah. They strive to provide education that is fun and engaging while leading everyone to a deeper level of understanding where true learning takes place.
The Frehner Museum of Natural History is buzzing with excitement as it prepares for the summer season! The museum is updating its permanent exhibits, cataloging the collection, and adding brand new exhibits that promise to delight visitors of all ages.

Summer Interactive Programming.
Join them every Wednesday from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M for our Summer Interactive Programming. Visitors can immerse themselves in hands-on outdoor activities, and discover the wonders of their expanded Native Plant Garden. It’s a fun, family-friendly way to beat the summer heat while learning about the fascinating natural world around us.

Pollinators! Opening Event.
Mark your calendars! On Monday, July 15th, they are hosting the grand opening celebration for their new “Pollinators!” exhibit. This interactive experience will showcase the vital role that bees, butterflies, and other unexpected pollinators play in our delicate ecosystem. Prepare for educational activities, engaging guest speakers, and light refreshments as they kick off this exiting new exhibit.

Save The Date: Creepy Crawlers Exhibition Opening.
Brace yourselves for a spine-tingling experience! On October 15th, the Frehner Museum of Natural History will unveil its “Creepy Crawlers” exhibition, exploring the fascinating world of
insects, arachnids, and other creepy-crawly creatures. Stay tuned for more details!

Their main goal for their current exhibits and layout is for interactive experiences, including their immersive VR sets, up close microscopes and 3-D prints.
The Museum looks forward to welcoming the community to come learn about the natural world this summer. They eagerly await your visit this summer to the Frehner Museum of Natural History!
