The Iron County Republican Party held its convention on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Canyon View High School. Delegates recently nominated at the Caucus from across the county convened to vote in the contested race for Iron County Commission Seat “C”. The ballot featured two candidates: Maile Wilson-Edwards and Kenneth Robinson. With 275 credentialed delegates, representing an impressive 90% attendance rate.

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from state and federal candidates vying for positions such as governor, auditor, attorney general, House of Representatives, and senate seats.
Both candidates for the Iron County Commission Seat collected signatures and will proceed to a Primary.

Election Results:

– Kenneth Robinson: 199 votes (72%)

– Maile Wilson Edwards: 76 votes (28%)

The Iron County Republican Party Executive Committee, consisting of Mari Eddy (Chair), Hillary Carter (Vice Chair), Casey Anderson (Treasurer), and Richard Genck (Secretary), has the authority to endorse the convention candidate who garners more than a two-thirds vote at the convention.
We extend our thanks to all the candidates and delegates who contributed to a highly successful convention. We eagerly anticipate preparations for the state convention, which will be held on April 27, 2024 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.
