It is with a heavy heart, we announce that our father Robert (Bob) Sterling Cranford, 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in St. George, Utah. Robert was born March 15, 1945 in Brunswick Georgia to parents Sterling and Mary Cranford.  

Robert graduated from Clairmont High School and attended the University of North Texas. He married Judy Kay Williford on October 28, 1966. They have been truly blessed with 57 years of marriage and 2 children. Robert and his family moved to California where he engaged in the three things he loved most: spent time with his family, coached high school Basketball, and owned and operated a Tennis Complex, and was the pro for years. In 1978, the family moved to Utah where they worked at Brian Head Ski Resort, until buying a home in Parowan. Robert then worked for the Utah Job services in Cedar City, until he retired after 21 years of service. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents – Sterling and Mary Cranford; Sister – Wanda McLaughlin; grandson – Zackary Cranford; and Great Grandson – Dylan Bruton. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Judy Cranford; sons: Lance Cranford and wife Kari; Bret Cranford and wife Melanie; granddaughter, Avery Bruton and husband, Chris; Great Granddaughter, Opal Ann Bruton; brother, David Cranford, and wife Janet. 

A Memorial service is planned for a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
