Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Mark Raymond Putich, age 65, passed away on July 12, 2024, in St. George, Utah. He was born on April 8, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond Joseph & Judith Elizabeth Vargo Putich. He graduated from Maple Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio in 1977. At the age of 17 he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for which he served a full-time mission to the Argentina Buenos Aries North Mission. Upon returning home, he attended Brigham Young University, where he met his future wife, Donna Jean McCulley. They were married and sealed in the Oakland, California temple on December 21, 1983. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business, He was employed by Farmers Insurance Group where he worked for 35 years, retiring in 2020 as a contract specialist. Mark served in various church positions including seminary teacher, elder’s quorum president, scoutmaster, high priest group leader, bishop, ward mission leader, and stake clerk. Mark loved the scriptures and was always ready and willing to step in last minute to teach any class. In 2007, Mark moved to Parowan, Utah from Tracy, California, and then moved in 2021 to Hurricane, Utah. Mark was an avid Cleveland sports fan, cheering on his Indians, Cavs, and Browns teams. He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling jokes, and traveling.
Mark is survived by his wife, Donna, and children; Anthony (Nicole), Nathan (Krissia), Matthew (Ashlee), Amy Mendes (Israel), and 8 wonderful grandchildren, siblings; Donna Ferguson, Michael, Timothy, and Richard. He is proceeded in death by his parents Raymond and Judy, and sister, Michelle.
