Jerrold Davis Pearce, age 91, passed away June 10, 2024, at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born May 11, 1933, to Thomas Jay and Alta Vilo Davis Pearce in Cedar City, Utah. He was the oldest of four children. He grew up and attended elementary school in New Harmony and high school in Cedar City, Utah. He later attended Clark County Community College in Las Vegas, Nevada majoring in business.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1961. While serving in Germany he married Dora Herta Berth Henzler. They moved to Tacoma Washington while he completed his military service at Fort Lewis. 

They owned a bar in Tacoma until they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 13 years. Then he worked at the Sahara in charge of Valet parking for years. Dora died in 1983 after 27 happy years of marriage. A year later he married Norma Jean Tiffner Green. He bought Blue J’s Flower Shop and Sunshine Wholesale Flowers. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After retirement they spent summers in Webster Springs, West Virginia and winters in Beaver Dam, Arizona and then in Mesquite, Nevada. He enjoyed family, friends, and good neighbors. He planned many reunions. Norma died in 2014 after a happy marriage of 30 years. He went on having reunions until September 2023.

He is survived by his sisters, Avey (J.V., deceased) Davis, Cedar City, Utah, and Verla (Richard) Cripps, Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dora, his wife, Norma, his parents, Tom and Vilo Pearce and his brother Jay.

Graveside services will be Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 12:00 noon Utah time (11:00 a.m. Nevada time) at the New Harmony, Utah Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent at www.mortuary.org.
