Michael John Middleton, 56, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Cedar City, UT. He was born on May 15, 1968, in Lander, Wyoming, to Gary and Marva Middleton. He spent his early years in Battle Mountain, NV, and Houston, TX, before settling in Cedar City, UT, where he attended elementary, middle, junior, and high school.

Michael had a strong work ethic and took pride in his career. His first job was at Bradshaw Auto Parts, and he later worked as an equipment operator for Las Vegas Paving. He also spent time installing satellite dishes, always enjoying the challenge of hands-on work.

Outside of work, Michael had a deep love for the outdoors. Some of his favorite pastimes included boating, fishing, and driving up the mountain, where he found peace and joy in nature. He had an adventurous spirit and cherished time spent in the great outdoors with family and friends.

Michael will be remembered for his great sense of humor, which brought laughter and joy to those around him.

He is survived by his mother, Marva Carter Middleton; his brother, Jeff Middleton; his sister, Stacey Middleton; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who were like family to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Middleton; and his grandparents, John and Afton Middleton, and Ward and ReVou Carter.

A viewing will be held at Southern Utah Mortuary on March 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Cedar City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. To share online condolences, please visit www.mortuary.org
