Canyon View came home for the regular-season finale April 28 and stretched its winning streak to 13 in a row with its fourth straight shutout, 2-0 over Juab. The Falcons finished with a 13-2-0 overall record and will open the playoffs Thursday at home against Union, the No. 4 seed from Region 10.
Should CV advance, they will face the Dixie-Logan winner in the quarterfinals Saturday.
Across town, the Cedar Redmen also reached the 3A playoffs for the second year in a row, coming through with a 2-0 victory on the road at Pine View on April 25. Abe Brower and Ethan Fletcher scored for Cedar in the win.
