Ramona Rowley Munford, 99, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, died April 22, 2012 In South Jordan, Utah at the home of her son David and wife, Geri. She was born Oct. 14, 1912 in Parowan, Utah, the oldest child of George Samuel and Cora May Morris Rowley. She grew up in Parowan, Utah and attended schools there.

She met Warren T. Munford of Cedar City in 1930. They were married Sept. 9, 1931 in the St. George Temple. They moved to Cedar City and settled there where they raised their family of seven children.

Mom was active in the LDS Church all her life. She served in many capacities in both ward and stake callings. Mom and Dad served an LDS mission to the East Lansing Michigan Mission 1983 to 1984. They spent eight years as ordinance workers in the St. George Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers G. Morris Rowley, Richard M. Rowley and an infant brother.

She is survived by her children, Helen (Clesson, deceased) Bauer of St. George, Utah, Barbara (Keith) Benson of Sandy, Utah, Roger Munford of St. George, Utah, Raymond (Carole) Munford of St. George, Utah, Marian (Jared) Johnson of Ogden, Utah, David (Geri) Munford of South Jordan, Utah, and Kathy (James) Hadlock of Sandy, Utah.

She is also survived by one brother T. Leonard (Wanda) Rowley of Bountiful, Utah and a sister, Shirley (Lyle) Evans of Fillmore, Utah. Also surviving are grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her posterity numbers 300 plus.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 28 at the Cedar 4th Ward Chapel, 500 West and 400 North in Cedar City, Utah. A viewing was at the Church before the services. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery following the funeral services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah.
