The store opened just last year and JoAnn, who owns the business with her husband, Richard, said they have received a lot of positive feedback and repeat business and have been really pleased with the response. Learning they received the award, which is determined by a vote of all chamber members, was “fantastic,” she added.
“We’ve just had a great reception from the community,” JoAnn said.
Gadgets n Goodies is a variety store offering gifts, decor, snacks and much more. Last week a small sampling of their inventory included musical instruments, kitchen items, movies, and furniture, and things are continually changing.
The Jensens try to keep a wide variety of items and make sure there is always something new, and they have plans in the near future to offer a bookstore area, vintage jewelry, and an area for people to make copies and do laminating. They also carry a lot of items for Pintrest craft projects, which are popular right now, JoAnn said.
They are seeing a good lunch crowd, and offer wonderful hard ice cream with “toppings” swirled in. They will soon be offering fountain drinks.
They work hard to keep prices low so a visit to the store is even worth the drive from Cedar City or other surrounding areas, she added.
Gadgets n Goodies is at 20 E. 200 North in Parowan, and JoAnn encouraged everyone to come look around. Visitors are likely to be surprised at what they find.
