To the Editor:

Our silent heros: We could not do it without your help. We would like to send a shout out to all of you who have generously given their business’ time or money to support the City of Enoch Animal Shelter in 2011.

A special thank you goes to the following businesses and their patrons: Dr. Kelly Esplin and staff, Dr. Steve Thinnes and Staff, IFA Country Store, Urban Dawgz, Nail Biz, Midvalley Pizza, Second Glance, Toadz and Paw Spa.

You have made it possible for the animal shelter to sustain and care for the health and well being of the many animals that have filled our facility. It is a crisis of grave proportion.

No doubt the poor economy has contributed to so many animals being abandoned. We are happy to report that with your help we have been able to successfully meet our general operating expenses, saving the lives of many animals.

Last but not least we would like to recognize our “Silent Heros” hard working behind the scenes: Animal Control Officer Christine Johnson, Sasha Turner, Crystal Drake, Gail Gookin, Police Chief Jackson Ames, Mayor Robert Rasmussen and Enoch City Council. In addition are the following helpers at the shelter: Melyssa Ova, Gary Day, Tyler Blancharo, and Stephanie Brown.

Last but not least we would like to introduce to you our new poster puppy for Enoch City Animal Shelter. Cali is a nine month old terrier mix.

Gail Arcularius
