Each year during the Thanksgiving holiday, a basketball tournament is held for anyone who graduated from Cedar High.

“This is one of my favorite things,” Cedar basketball coach Craig Cardon said. “I remember when I was a kid watching this game and thinking, ‘I’ll be able to play in that someday.’”

Cardon also said the tournament is a showcase for Cedar High students of today of their legacy.

“It shows them that this team has never been about the individual, but about the team as a whole,” Cardon said. “It’s a lot of fun.”

The tournament will be at Cedar High School Nov. 26-27. The cost is $150 per team with proceeds going to help the current basketball team. Teams are arranged by graduating year and aren’t restricted to former ball players.

For more information contact Craig Cardon at 559-5019 or craig.cardon@ironmail.org.
