With a total of 62 wrestlers competing, Canyon View’s Little League program brought home another state championship last week – its 14th in a row according to head coach Dallas Lowry, Eight individual wrestlers brought home titles in their respective weights to help the overall effort while Hurricane finished second and Cedar came in third.

“The support from our parents was great and the top things we taught were never give up, integrity and discipline,” Lowry said.

The individual winners for the CV Little League team were: William Kay, Jaxten Bowler, Jaxton Holyoak, Dane Lake, Gabe Lake, Waylon Jones, Marc Richardson and Colt Rushton.

Canyon View junior Brady Lowry, who just missed repeating as a state champion during the wrestling season, finished in the top 12 at a recent Nationals tournament held in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Lowry finished with a 4-2 record at the tournament, just missing a spot among the top eight wrestlers in his weight class in the nation.

Upcoming for the program, the Ironmen team is heading to another state tournament that starts Thursday, which includes wrestlers from Cedar and Parowan.
