This will be the second time in women’s tennis program history a player has won this award, the last time being Veronika Rogova in 2013.
Against Northern Colorado, Nassik and Mikala Lowrance breezed through their doubles match winning 6-1 at the top position. The junior followed up with a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles as Southern Utah defeated Northern Colorado 6-1
Nassik came out against Montana State and won 7-5 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the doubles point for Southern Utah. The native of Mohammedia, Morocco, once again came out with a win at No. 1 singles winning 6-7, 7-6, 10-6.
This is the first Player of the Week honor in Nassik’s career. The Thunderbirds are back in action this weekend as they host Montana.
