Submitted by Francy Merdes

Scores are in for the Southern Utah Inter-Regional Soccer League, and three teams from Color Country Futbol Club(CCFC) ended the season as Champions. The Inter-Regional League is composed of competitive teams from Cedar City, the St George area and Mesquite. These dedicated soccer teams play an average of ten games with four to five home games and four to five away games.

In first place in the 2006 Girls Gold division we have CCFC Fury 06 coached by Steve Newman. In first place in the 2004 Girls Gold division are the CCFC 04 Lightning Bolts coached by Francy Merdes, Kenton Call and Juan Vargas. and in the Boys Silver division CCFC Fury 08, coached by Steve Newman and Bryan Wood, took first. Many of the CCFC teams were Finalists this year demonstrating the strength of the program.

Competitive soccer runs year round with tryouts being held mid-May. However, CCFC does not only manage competitive teams. Spring recreation soccer runs April thru May and is also managed by CCFC. Many of our competitive players and coaches got their start in Spring Rec! Spring Recreation soccer is a volunteer based program that only works thru the dedication of our volunteer board and parent coaches. Teams range in age from U4 to U16 and are open to all skill levels. Registration online at ccfcsoccer.com.
