“We are singing several songs about the love we have for our Savior and his promises to us as his children,” Master Singer Director Dee Rich said. “ ‘In This Very Room,’ ‘Inscription of Hope,’ ‘Lord, ‘I Would Follow Thee,’ ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ to name a few.”
Rich, who has directed the current group of Master Singers for three years, said that he told the group that when he took over that he was going to work “their BUTTS off.”
“They have really risen to the occasion,” he said. “We have a brotherhood among us that really helps bring our music together and make a beautiful sound. They have reached high to achieve a good unified sound and I love these guys a lot.”
Rich said he enjoys every rehearsal on Sundays at 5 p.m. and said he feels that he and the group have a great bond.
“We would love to have more men who love to sing and come join us,” he said. “There is no audition, just a desire to work hard.”
The remainder of the concerts for the year will be Father’s Day on June 18, Veteran’s Day on Nov. 5 and Christmas Concert on Dec. 17. All concerts will be performed in the Heritage Center Theater and are at 7 p.m.
