The annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Cedar City Cemetery on Monday, May 28, starting at 10 a.m.
This year’s event will include a gun salute, taps and a moment of silence in honor of our fallen veterans. Organizers will also be paying special recognition to our eight local World War I veterans who died between 1917-18 (4 from disease, 4 from combat related injuries.) They will also be recognizing family members of our military personnel currently deployed.
They invite everyone to join, especially our local veterans.
On Memorial Day, May 28, a program honoring those who have given their lives while serving in the military will be held at the Parowan City Cemetery at 10 a.m.
The program will feature guest speaker Donald Burton, and the Parowan Area Veterans will perform the military honors. The program will last about half an hour. The cemetery is located at 834 Canyon Road.
