CEDAR CITY—The State Bank of Southern Utah is hosting a two day blood drive on Monday, Sept. 18 (10- 4:30) and Tuesday, Sept. 19 (10- 4:30) – The blood drive will be held at the bank’s new Cedar City office located at 1322 South Interstate Drive. (By the I-15 South Interchange)
The Red Cross has asked to schedule 164 donations during the drive to help restock the blood bank. In the Utah service area, every 8 minutes someone needs blood. The American Red Cross strives to collect an average of 2,350 units of blood in the Utah service area each week to meet patients needs.
There are donation times available every 15 minutes. To schedule an appointment, donors can schedule online, e-mail your preferred donation time or call 865-2348. Bank officials will confirm e-mail donation requests by e-mail.
