Iron County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel successfully rescued a hiker who had fallen near Kannaraville Falls Monday night. The 26-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle.
The ICSO received a call at 3:35 p.m. Monday about the injured hiker. She was located about two miles from the trailhead and both the Iron County Search and Rescue and Iron County Ropes rescue team were called out to the area to assist as well. ICSO said 25 rescue personnel assisted in getting the hiker out safely. The rescue took about four hours.
