Cedar boy hit by car, in serious condition

CEDAR CITY—A 12-year-old boy from Cedar City was airlifted to a hospital in St.George after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night while playing night games. His condition has not been upgraded as of Sunday morning, and police have not released his name.

The boy was reportedly playing games with some  friends on the westside of the city when he was struck by a vehicle on Cross Hollow Road. He was reportedly hit by an eastbound vehicle in an area that is mostly unlit. There were no citations issue at the time.

An earlier report said he had been airlifted to Salt Lake City, but a friend of the family told Iron County Today that information was incorrect, and that he had been transported to St. George. Information will be updated as it is released.
