CEDAR CITY–The Employee Advisory Committee selected Jaden Benson as the Cedar City employee of the month for August.
Benson, a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, was nominated WWTP Superintendent Eric Bonzo. Bonzo said Benson has frequently demonstrated his dedication to his job.
“(Benson) oversees our de-watering process and biosolids and is always one step ahead to make sure that all equipment runs at its peak performance and that the record keeping is always up to date,” he said. “(Benson) works extremely well with a team or very strongly by himself.”
Bonzo added that Benson is dependable and shows initiative.
“Whether being taught by others or in training classes, he strives to learn and grow as much as he can in the wastewater industry,” he said.
Benson has been with the WWTP for a year and a half, recently completed his Operator I certification with the State of Utah and is currently studying for his Operator II certification. Benson received his award during last week’s City Council meeting.
