Sherie Pearl Carter Parks age 63, passed away peacefully after a long battle of illnesses, on April 23, 2018 in St George, Utah. She was born on June 16, 1954, in Tooele, Utah to Ted and Dorothy Carter. She was raised in Minersville. She loved to tube down the Minersville canal. She graduated from Beaver High School. Sherie could not have children of her own, so she became a second mom to all of her nieces and nephews, she adored them all as if they were her own. She then met and married the love of her life on July 17, 1981 and they were later sealed on September 19, 1998 in the St. George Temple.
She loved camping, fishing, reading, crocheting hot pads and dish rags and doing all sorts of crafty things.
Sherie was preceded in death by her twin brother Terry H Carter, her dad Ted H Carter and two nephews and one niece.
She is survived by her husband Randall Lee Parks, her mom Dorothy Carter, sisters Marie (Gary) Hayes, Darlene (John) Baza, and Lisa Carter Sidwell; brothers Ted (Teresa) Carter, Kevin (Meledean) Carter, Rick (Rebecca) Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Sherie were held on Saturday April 28, 2018 at 12 noon at the Cedar City Cemetery. A viewing was held prior to the graveside service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Relief Society room at the Willowwood Ward LDS Building (638 East Canyon Center Drive, Cedar City). Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Affordable Funeral Services 435-586-3456.
