The Paiute Tribe hosted its 37th Annual Restoration Gathering Powwow last Friday and Saturday with much celebration in dance, parade and food.
The event began with a pageant the Thursday prior to the weekend event to crown the queen and princess over the weekend powwow.
Friday night started with a grand entry just after 7 p.m. with the American, state and tribe flag. The tribe came as far as Canada, Idaho and Arizona to gather and celebrate.
Saturday morning began with a parade down Main Street at 9 a.m. and a grand entry began again at 1 p.m. Food and jewelry vendors were among the crowd.
