Teddy Sue Ludlow

Teddy Sue Ludlow passed away peacefully on Thursday August 10, 2017, at her home in Cedar City, surrounded by her family.

Mom was born July 8, 1951, in St. George to Raymond Larkin Smith and Genevieve Asay Smith. She grew up surrounded by her 7 siblings, 3 brothers and 4 sisters, in Henderson, Nevada.

She married Kenneth Raymond Ludlow, Jr. on June 4, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple.  Together they created an amazing family with their nine children:  Teddi Rae (Anthony) Lozano, Jennifer Ragone, Kenneth Raymond Ludlow III, Jeremy (Natalie) Ludlow, Justin (Adrianne) Ludlow, Amber (Aldo) Biasi, Jerett Ludlow, Nick (Jacqui) Ludlow, and Lechelle (Clint) Pollock.

She loved all of her 29 grandkids and 3 great-grandbabies, and she made them all feel like her favorite.

She was a woman of many talents. She could sew anything and made many special things that will be cherished forever. She could paint, cook anything, and loved decorating. She used her talents to bless many lives, whether it was cooking or decorating for a wedding or sewing a blessing gown for a new grand baby.

Mom served in many callings in the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the Gospel.  Her boys have many memories of her being in Scouts with them.  She made lasting friendships in the many wards she has lived in.  Mom had a special way of welcoming anybody into her home and making them feel loved.  She always knew the right thing to say and enjoyed talking with anyone who stopped by.  Each of us have great memories of watching a movie with her and eating her hidden snacks.  The grandkids always knew they could find a tube of lipstick and some Dr. Pepper in Grandma’s room.

Even as mom’s health declined she never lost her sense of humor.  Her smile and laugh will never be forgotten.  Words cannot express how much we will miss her.

She was preceded in Death by her father and brother, Gene, with whom she was eager to be reunited.  A special thanks to Alliance Hospice for their care of mom during her brief battle with cancer and to all those who have shown love and support at this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 2 p.m., in the Greens Lake Chapel, located at 1120 W. Greenslake Drive in Cedar City, Utah.  A viewing will be held in the same building from noon to 1:30 p.m.   Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Affordable Funeral Services.

Online condolences can be sent to her memorial book at www.affordablefuneralservices.com
