Leslie V. Rafti

Surrounded by her family, our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and friend passed away on August 19, 2017.  Leslie endured a prolonged illness due to dementia complicated by pneumonia.

She was born February 28, 1931, in Huntsville, Alabama, and was the only child to Benjimin and Violet (Wilcox) Schrimsher.  She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1972 with three of her six daughters.  Her daughters are Karen (deceased), Janean, Sharlene, Marcia, Rachelle (Shelly), and Alexandria (Andie).  Also, 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Soon after moving to Las Vegas, she met the love-of-her-life Bill Rafti.  They were married January 29, 1974, in Las Vegas, NV.  They resided in Las Vegas for 41 years where she was a homemaker and Bill worked at various investment firms.  Retirement years brought Bill and Leslie to the quiet community of Summit, UT.  Leslie enjoyed many family moments at their home in Summit, as well as their cabin at Braffits Creek, UT.

Leslie enjoyed her travels with Bill.  She also loved creating porcelain dolls, miniature doll houses, sewing, and quilting.  Even during her declining years she never gave up her zest for life.  Her smile and laugh will never be forgotten.  Words cannot express how much we will miss her.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Leslie over the last several months.  Especially, Intermountain Healthcare Hospice and Nurse Becky.  We also appreciate her friend Kim Ackroyd CNA, and friends who gave their time and resources in her behalf.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home in Summit, 125 West Main Street, between 2-4pm, Thursday, August 24, 2017, for family and friends.

Online condolences can be sent to her memorial book at www.affordablefuneralservices.com
