Our wonderful husband, father and grandfather Lee Marion DeFever, age 66, continued on his journey to our final place of residence. He is finally without pain and was reluctant to leave his beloved family behind. We called him Superman for his courageous battle with cancer for 1½ years. On May 3, 2018, we knew he was ready to move on and with a tear in his eye, he passed away from Earth.
Lee was born in California on January 19, 1952 to Lee Woodson and Mary Magdalene Arnold DeFever. He met the love of his life, Janet Geahry, in Downey around 1966. They married in The First Presbyterian Church in Downey in 1972 and they have been together ever since. Together they raised their children in Downey until an opportunity in Cedar City, Utah brought them here.
Lee was a very accomplished machinist which made him a successful entrepreneur. In 2002, Lee and Janet opened LD Precision Machining in Cedar City, Utah, where he manufactured parts for our Defense Dept., Aerospace Industry, automotive and much more. Including his own line of Precision Archery tips.
Lee loved to swim, fish, camp, play games, hunt, and shoot. He was an avid reader and football enthusiast! The Arizona Cardinals was his favorite NFL Team and on top of our Sunday venue. But regardless of work and play, the love of his family always came first. He was patient and kind and could fix just about anything. His legacy will live on in our hearts! He was awesomely talented and hard working.
Lee is survived by his wife, Janet Geahry DeFever, his daughter Stacey DeFever Lokovic and son-in-law Jeremy Lokovic, his daughter Crystal DeFever Coon and his son-in-law Josh Coon. Also his 5 beautiful granddaughters and 1 very handsome grandson. He loved all of us with all his heart and soul and we loved and admired him also!
The family will be having a celebration of Lee’s wonderful life. No details are available. Arrangements are being handled by Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com
