Kenyon Parry of Cedar City passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on August 21, 2017. He was born August 1, 1935 to Chester Parry and Maurine Heap Parry. He married his sweetheart, Yvonne Olds, on August 1, 1952, and later solemnized their marriage on August 30, 1980 in the St. George LDS Temple.
Starting at a young age, he operated heavy equipment for his father’s business, Parry Sand and Gravel, later he then owned and operated a construction company. His hobbies included adding lights to his truck, tinkering on projects and enjoying times with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne; children: Teresa (Larry) Topham, Kendall (Paula) Parry, Katie (Chris) Young, all of Cedar City; brothers Brent and Drex Parry; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Sugar. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Roger and Sherwin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the LDS 4th North Chapel (500 W 400 North, Cedar City, Utah). A viewing was held Friday, August 25 at Southern Utah Mortuary. A viewing was also held Saturday, August 25 at the church. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
