Jodi Ann Fowler Bourgeois

Our beloved daughter, sister and mother, Jodi Ann Fowler Bourgeois, age 40, returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father June 8, 2017 in Bluffdale, Utah. She was born in Provo, Utah on April 8, 1977. Daughter of Robert Nez Fowler and Elouise Ann Fowler. Jodi grew up in a small town of Richfield, UT. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jodi attended Richfield High School and Cedar High School and graduated in 1995. She played many sports in high school including softball, volleyball, and basketball and was a member of the drill team. After high school, she attended Southern Utah University, completing most of her general studies. Jodi was also Miss SUU Indian Princess. After her sophomore year of college Jodi decided to explore a career in Wildland Firefighting and received training in California. She started her passion for wildland firefighting as a camp crew member. With her training in California, she went on to be on a Helitack crew in St. George, Utah. She went on to work in the Color Country Interagency Fire Center in Cedar City, Utah and was currently in Draper, Utah at the Northern Utah Interagency Fire Center as an Initial Attack Dispatcher.

She always stated that one of the most precious accomplishments was helping to bring into this world her best friend, her son, Kellan Robert Bourgeois–she was so proud of him. He was also so proud of his mother–calling her “Wonder Woman”, while he was “Batman.” Jodi lives on in through her son and her mother, father, sisters, brother, and her Keii’ (family who will also miss her dearly–nieces, nephews): Kellan, Elouise, Robert, Bobbi, Kasey, Nikki, and Cody.
