Nellie Zuliabell Blackwell

Nellie Zuliabell Blackwell entered eternal life on August 16, 2018; her spirit is carried on by her husband of 66 years, Duane Blackwell, sister Jennie Hadden, nine children Kenneth wife Ronda, Kathleen husband Vance, Carolynn husband Jerry, Dwight wife Sue, Brent wife Brenda, Brenda husband Mitch, Kristina husband Alan, Janelle husband Wesley, and Jennifer husband Danny. 36 Grandchildren, 62 Great grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild. A posterity of 108.

She was born on Oct 14, 1935 to Rolland Bell Flemons and Zulia May Flemons. She had the most beautiful journey through her life. However, she has gleaned life’s toughest lessons and its most joyful moments in the process. By her enduring accomplishments, she has enriched not only her family but all that she met. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

We all cherish our memories of her. She was a good student in high school; she graduated a year ahead of her class at the age of 16 with a 4.0 GPA and a scholarship. Years later after six children she went back to college and graduated as the valedictorian with an Associate’s degree and a 4.0 GPA.

Her attitude was always to serve. With an amazing work ethic, she poured her heart into her jobs.

She always had a calling at church and performed it with determination. When preparing for trips she would load the car, pack the suit cases, have games and snacks ready. She was a great planner and did her best to be prepared for whatever came her way.

She will be missed as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
