Gene Allen Brunner, age 78, passed away peacefully January 22, 2018. He was born November 3, 1939, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Clarence and Esther (Beilke) Brunner.
Gene was raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where his love of hunting, fishing, and nature began. In 1953 his family moved to Norwalk, California. He was in the first graduating class from Artesia High School in 1957. He then attended Mt. San Antonio Junior College and received his AA Degree. Gene joined the Air Force and went to Navigator Training School in Harlingen, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force 1962. Gene purchased a home in Cedar City in 1988. After retiring from the Ironworkers in 1993, he moved to Cedar City permanently. He worked for 10 years at Ace Hardware in the gun department.
