David Lore Brown, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born in Las Vegas, NV on December 31, 1978 to Marilyn and Harry Brown. His early years were spent in Las Vegas but he loved his weekends in Cedar City starting when he was 6 years old.
David and his dad moved to Cedar City permanently in 1993. They loved having more time in the outdoors and explored every canyon and fishing spot on Cedar Mountain! In his younger years David was a superb athlete in soccer, basketball and baseball, but turned his energy to music when he attended Cedar High where he was active in the concert and marching bands. David graduated from CHS in 1997. At that time, he struggled to find his direction in life and a career that he would enjoy. He eventually found that working in marketing and sales was his niche.
David met Stephanie Ellsworth and they were married in May 2005. David helped raise Stephanie’s two young daughters as his own and they also had three more children together. He loved his children dearly and kept a close relationship even after divorce.
Those who knew David loved his out-going, friendly personality and his willingness to help others. He had a very generous heart! Unfortunately, he also struggled through much of his life with drug and alcohol addiction causing much pain and heartache for those who loved him.
In the past year, David finally made the commitment to be clean and sober with the loving support of his fiancé and best friend, Tina Christensen, and was so excited to be celebrating six months of sobriety! David has returned to the loving arms of Jesus Christ and will be deeply missed.
David is survived by his parents: Marilyn (Doug) Low and Harry (Lynne) Brown; his fiancé Tina Christensen; his children: Sharissa, Braelynn, Samantha, Emma and Joel; his two half-sisters Brenda (Steve) Reeves, Tara (Nate) Ryan; six nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Jada.
