Curt W. Paulson, aged 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from complications from the flu, after suffering a long battle with cancer.
Curt was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 21, 1945, to Milford and Francis Paulson. He grew up in Pomona, California and was known as a talented artist and athlete. After serving in the army during the Vietnam War, he graduated from Southern Utah State College and later settled in Parowan, Utah, with his wife, Elaine, and their five children.
Curt was best known as an exceptional artist whose passion and inspiration was observed by many. His work won numerous awards and can be found in many collections. An avid outdoorsman, Curt worked for the forest service for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, and four children; Clinton, Matthew, Daniel, and Tishanna, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by their son, Mark.
A funeral was held on Saturday, January 27 at 11 a.m. in the Parowan 4th Ward chapel (90 S Main St, Parowan), followed by a graveside memorial at the Parowan City Cemetery at 1 p.m. Interment was under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com
